PLASMA CUTTING PROCESS

Plasma cutting can be used on all conductive materials. In this process, compressed air is blown at high speed out of a nozzle; at the same time an electrical arc is formed through the gas from the nozzle to the surface being cut, turning some of that gas to plasma cutting. The striking of the plasma cutting arc is obtained by means of a low energy auxiliary arc.
